AGE: 8 months (July 2010)
Mishka was separated from her mother at a dangerously young age. Exposed to the elements, she developed a respiratory illness at only one week old.
A volunteer from the PAWS Foster Home Program took her in, bottle-fed her, medicated and gave her lots of TLC.
Kittens as weak as she was only had 30-percent or so chances of surviving, but Mishka pulled through with
her strong will to live.
Now, eight months after being rescued, Mishka lounges quietly and happily with her kittenery companions.
But she knows, as much as every PAWS volunteer does, that a home is what she really needs--a family that would never abandon or leave her to fend for herself in the cruel outside world.
She's still waiting, hoping.
