At the time they were rescued, Myrtle was too scrawny for comfort. But that was easily solved with sufficient food and supplements.
What everyone worried about was the way she, as her five other siblings, cowered in a corner whenever people went near her.
Volunteers spent weeks smothering Myrtle and her siblings with love and attention, and she eventually began to play with confidence and trust to whoever was with her.
Now, Myrtle is waiting for a family who will welcome her with open arms.
