Questions:

• I would like to help but have not yet attended a volunteer orientation. Can I already start volunteering at the shelter?

• I cannot attend the upcoming volunteer orientation, when/how can I volunteer?

Answers:

Volunteer Orientation schedules are posted in the PAWS website, Facebook, Multiply and Whatsuppaws Yahoogroup.

You may start volunteering already at the shelter even if you haven't attended a Volunteer Orientation. A senior volunteer just has to monitor your activities at PARC and you must submit a volunteer application form.

Please note that your volunteer activities may be limited until you have attended an orientation. Please attend the orientation once it has been announced.

For those who cannot make it to the PAWS shelter to volunteer (far from Quezon City, lives in the province, etc) or if you cannot find time to attend the volunteer orientation, you can opt to do any of the following:

1. Be a supporting member (click on this link). Supporting members are also considered active volunteers and help us continue our work for the animals. Volunteers can do both volunteer work and be a Supporting Member for as little as P300 a month.
   
   
2. We also have volunteers outside of Metro Manila who do lobbying and all other campaigns for animal welfare in their areas. If you are far from QC or do not live in Manila, please let us know what your ideas are and how you think you can help as a PAWS volunteer in your province. You may email your ideas to philpaws@yahoo.com to coordinate activities/projects.
   
   
3. Check out your city pound or coordinate with your city vet to see if you can help provide food, water and other necessities
