Victorina’s Story

Victorina was rescued in an old ancestral house in Padre Faura, Manila, severely neglected and suffering from a serious case of mange. Out of approximately 30 neglected animals in that house, Victorina was one of the 8 dogs that were rescued and given shelter by PAWS.

Her siblings, Crispin, Basilio, Damaso, and more, all named after Rizal’s Noli Me Tangere and Eli Filibusterismo characters, have already found their forever homes. Unlike Dona Victorina in Rizal’s books, Victorina is sweet, laid-back and gets along well with other animals.

Ideal Home

Victorina would like to find a home where she can sleep comfortably for long hours and get lots of belly rubs. Since she is living her senior years, a home with energetic kids might not be ideal for her. Still she enjoys short walks and treats, and her affectionate nature more than makes up for her lack of energy.

All our adoptable animals are victims of cruelty or neglect, so we screen all applicants to ensure that they go to the right homes. If you think you can provide a loving home for this animal, let’s get the process moving!

If you can’t adopt but would like to help this shelter animal, then you can be a sponsor! All proceeds go to their food, medication, and everyday needs. Many lives have been saved by small donations. Please keep supporting them!
