Robert was saved from death row at a city pound when he, his mom and siblings were fostered by a volunteer prior to being admitted to the PAWS Shelter. Unfortunately, despite being a perfectly friendly and healthy dog, Robert has remained unadopted.

“May mga rescued dogs sa PAWS na more than four or five years nang nandun. With the Love-Save-ADOPT Campaign, we want to encourage more people to adopt rescued aspins from shelters or pounds,” Alden shares.

PAWS Executive Director Anna Cabrera thinks this encapsulates the best message for International Dog Day which is being celebrated today. “We wish to thank Alden Richards for lending his voice to the campaign and speaking up for shelter dogs and aspins all over the country. Thank you as well to Doc Marlon Pecjo for generously sharing his time and talent and beautifully capturing these stunning images of Alden with Robert and some of our other shelter dogs. We hope through this new campaign, a lot of dogs will get a second chance at a good life so we encourage everyone to help us spread the word by sharing the ads on social media and we are also working to have it up in malls, vet clinics and billboards all over the city.”
