Students & Teachers

When you start them young, then you start them right. We like taking every opportunity to educate young minds on responsible pet ownership, which is why we welcome teachers and students who wish to include Animal Welfare in their educational program.

Students & Teachers

When you start them young, then you start them right. We like taking every opportunity to educate young minds on responsible pet ownership, which is why we welcome teachers and students who wish to include Animal Welfare in their educational program.

Our lectures, tours and interviews are offered FREE of charge. However, we request that transport be arranged for our lecturer if you wish to invite them to your school. In some cases, donations in kind such as dog or cat food may be requested as well.

Educating young minds

Educations is the main thrust of the organization. What better platform to use than our schools, where the educators are tasked to mold young minds? Whether it’s a classroom setting or an educational outing, PAWS will happily take part in teaching the next generation how to be compassionate to all animals.

Guided Shelter Tour

Guided tours consist of a 15-minute tour of the PAWS compound and a 20-minute lecture. A maximum number of 25 people per group may take the tour at any given time.

Each participant is asked to donate one (1) tall can of cat food. The organizers will also be furnished with the PAWS’ shelter Wish List so that they can launch collection drives for new or second-hand items that may be useful to the shelter animals.

School Visit/Lecture

A PAWS Humane Education Speaker may also be invited to visit schools to conduct a 20-minute lecture on responsible pet ownership and proper are of pets.

We request that transport be provided for our volunteer speaker/s. The school will also be furnished with the PAWS’ shelter Wish List so that they can launch collection drives for new or second-hand items that may be useful to the shelter animals.

Student Interview

Interviews may be conducted with our staff and senior volunteers for thesis and research, provided the information gathered is used for educational purposes only.

To maximize time, students are requested to visit the FAQ’s on our website to avoid redundant information. We also ask for written commitment that PAWS will be given a copy of the thesis, research paper, or video presentation they produce.

Book a Shelter Tour or School Visit

Send a letter of request to philpaws@paws.org.ph at least two weeks ahead of time and also include the number of attendees. Note that no booking request is final until confirmed via email by our Education Officer or another authorized PAWS representative.
