Vet Malpractice

If you suspect malpractice, immediately seek an independent and confidential second opinion. If your pet has died, preserve the remains and quickly take the body to another veterinarian for a necropsy.

The shelter has only one vet who can no longer accommodate consults, especially one that requires a necropsy.

Remember:

Monitor your pet’s stay at the hospital or clinic. Don’t hesitate to ask questions. Trust your common sense.

Always ask for a copy of your pet’s test results (blood test, x-ray, etc) and keep a record of whatever treatment is being administered to your pet.
